"I remember being around 8 years old, sitting behind the piano at G.E. Peters Elementary School, taking piano classes from Mrs. Nevilla Ottley. She was passionate about music, and carried a regal, queenly presence. She didn’t accept less than her students’ best! I would practice at home, and was always excited when I saw pianos at friends’ houses. I’m truly grateful that I was introduced to music lessons and piano at such a young age, and I wish I would have continued playing into adulthood!  Youth piano lessons require and stimulate discipline and passion, both of which Mrs. Ottley possesses in abundance! I know that her current and former students are blessed to have had her."

OMS is a gem within our community! May God continue to bless your beautiful work!  JASMINE MURRELL BRANN, Administrator, D. C. Public Schools (Languages), was voice student at OMS.
Ottley Music School is responsible for my career. Nevilla E. Ottley, founder, took on my sister and I as her very first students (in the DMV) many many years ago. Since then, the school has promoted the careers of many successful musicians.   CLAUDIA ROGERS, "Kool Keys" .
