As an electric guitarist since 2004, and a classical guitarist for the past 4 years, Mr. Civic has performed at numerous music venues in the Albany/Saratoga area of NY state. He also performed at music venues in NYC and the Finger Lakes region. His teaching experience includes tutoring music theory, sight singing, and keyboard musicianship at Schenectady County Community College, and providing guitar lessons wherever needed.

Late in 2004, he started a career in music beginning with electric guitar lessons at the age of 10. The next year began exploring the genres of rock and folk music, initiating with the songs of The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, Eric Clapton, etc. And he begun composing, which he played in his performances.

Between 2007 and 2009, Mr. Civic incorporated the use of a Digitech Jamman looping pedal, and eventually, a Korg M50 keyboard workstation, which changed his original material stylistically. The new music was almost solely instrumental material which focused on the one-man band aspect of his performance, as well as the much lighter rock style.

Currently, his live performances on electric guitar consist solely of original material. He uses the Korg M50 keyboard workstation to produce drums and bass, and the looping pedal records the keyboard as well as my guitar to allow me to take solos. All of the looping is done live on the spot.

Mr. Civic has Associate in Science (A.S.) degree from Schenectady County Community College, majoring in classical guitar performance. In May 2016, he graduated from Ithaca College with a Bachelor of Music (B.M.) degree in classical guitar performance. He is currently a graduate student at Peabody Conservatory in Baltimore, Maryland.
